Certificate in Solar Technology (CST)

This two-month course that prepares you to gain practical knowledge on solar photovoltaic (PV) system components and installation. It helps you gain hands-on experience that is required to become an entrepreneur or a technician in the field of solar technology. You will learn the fundamentals of electrical science, components of PV systems, solar instrumentation, designing PV systems, critical calculations involved, and installation of the solar PV system.

On completion of this course, students attain technical skills and expertise of a solar technician and can take-up or supervise the responsibility of installing solar panels at customer premises. You get practical experience on testing, designing and installing solar photovoltaic systems with confidence. You can either follow a business or part-time career in Solar Technology or pursue specific jobs like Solar Power Technician, Solar Panel Installation Technician etc
